Welcome to De Twee Pauwen Fine Art Gallery
De Twee Pauwen Art Gallery presents high quality contemporary figurative fine art with an emphasis on artists who use their technical skills to create their own visionary world. The gallery represents a range of distinguished Dutch painters and sculptors as well as renowned artists from Russia, Belarus, France and Belgium
De Twee Pauwen Gallery is located in the historical centre of The Hague. The Hague is the residence of the Dutch Royal Family, the Dutch government, foreign embassies and the International Court of Justice. A visit to this "royal" city is rewarded by numerous sights of interest. Besides the Peace Palace and the Royal Palace, several world-famous museums are located in The Hague.
Our gallery can boast of long-time proprietary collaboration with our artists and a fundamental knowledge of the current art market. On that basis the gallery advises and assists private collectors in the acquisition and placement of valuable art objects in their homes, offices, and their outdoor spaces.
Welcome to The Hague, city of museums
The Gemeentemuseum (Municipal Museum) of The Hague, built in 1935 by the architect Berlage, houses an important collection of modern art, including works by Van Gogh, Monet, Kandinsky, Picasso and Mondriaan, while the GEM - Museum of Contemporary Art, just next door, exhibits works by Dutch and foreign artists in such forms as multimedia installations, performance art, film, photography and digital art

Since 1822 the Mauritshuis has housed The Royal Cabinet of Paintings, one of the most famous collections in the world. The core of the collection consists of masterpieces from the Dutch Golden Age, including paintings by Rembrandt, Vermeer, Steen, Hals and Potter.
In The Palace, on Lange Voorhout, built in 1764 as a former Royal Palace, a new permanent museum has been dedicated to the work of Dutch graphic artist M.C. Escher (1898-1972). The Palace houses an important collection of lithographs, woodcuts and wood engravings.
An impressive view of the sea, the beach, the dunes and the fishing village of Scheveningen, painted in 1880, is found in the Museum Panorama Mesdag. The 360º panorama painting, 1680 m2 in area, is the work of the celebrated seascape painter Hendrik Willem Mesdag and fellow artists. It is one of the world's largest and most beautiful surviving panorama paintings.

The sculpture museum Beelden aan Zee (Sculptures at the Sea) can be found on the sea shore of The Hague. The building lies half hidden in the dunes of Scheveningen. A huge bronze masque by the Italian sculptor Igor Mitoraj marks the museum on the side facing the sea. Apart from the permanent exhibition of the Scholten-Miltenburg collection, the museum mounts regular exhibits of national and international artists. A visit to this unique museum is warmly recommended.
